HE’S shown the reflexes and spend, now Blaine Williams is looking to showcase his skills on BCB Promotions' "Brawl At Dudley Town Hall" show next Friday, March 28, writes PAUL WEBB.

The 30-year-old super-lightweight from Selly Oak is out to make it a hat-trick of straight wins after finishing 2024 strongly.

He made his debut last July with a points victory over Santiago Garces at the same venue. In October, Blaine followed that up with a decisive points win against Josh Morris. He is yet to lose a round.

“It's another great show to be on," said Williams. "I've been working on improving and developing as a professional, training six times a week, twice a day.

“After my last fight, I didn't take any break - I wanted to keep pushing. A significant part of our focus is on my flow, how I move in the ring, maintaining balance and my footwork. We're learning how to manage rounds and continue building a strong foundation.

“The win over Morris was what we wanted, what we strive for. But perhaps I allowed him too much of an easy path at times during the fight and I've learned a lot from that.”

Williams, who trains under coach Mitchell Pearce at Dudley's Priory Boxing Club, entered the professional ranks relatively late and understands consistent activity is crucial. This will be his third consecutive four-round bout, but he has already been increasing his training distances in preparation for potential title opportunities.

Blaine said: “That's exactly what I want. The Midlands Area title would be fantastic, but I'd pursue any title opportunity that comes my way. I want to win it not just for myself, but to bring it back to the gym so the amateur kids can see what we represent and what they can aspire to. “We've had brief discussions about it as we are focusing on this fight and still learning, but I have been sparring six and eight rounds, so I'm staying ready for that call.”

The stacked card also features unbeaten Midlands featherweight champions Sian O'Toole and Ryan Griffiths, former Midlands Area welterweight challenger Liam Gould, Tom Brennan, and the professional debut of Jacob Lloyd, the first fighter from Shifnal’s Bright Star gym to turn pro.

*Final tickets are available now at £45 for general admission and £80 for VIP, directly from the boxers or by emailing info@bcb-promotions.com.
