Denny get Sheeraz on big Wembley bill

MIDDLEWEIGHT star Tyler Denny has landed a dream fight against Hamzah Sheeraz on the Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois world title undercard at Wembley Stadium on September 21, writes PAUL WEBB.
The 32-year-old European champion from Rowley Regis has been on an incredible run of form that has seen him take the unbeaten records of several fighters, most recently last Saturday night at the Resorts World Arena where he defeated highly touted Felix Cash.
“I am a bit taken aback, it has all moved so fast and I haven’t had time for it all to sink in,” said Denny. “It is beyond a dream to box at Wembley Stadium and be part of such a big event. After fighting Saturday night, normally you expect a bit of down time and waiting for news, but the conversations started soon after. Now we are here just a few days later.”
Sheeraz most recently captained the Queensbury Promotions team against Matchroom on the 5v5 show in Saudi Arabia, earning maximum points with a dominant 11th round stoppage of Austin Williams. The 25-year-old from Ilford has impressed with his aggressive style and standing well over six feet he will provide a stern challenge for the southpaw Denny.
Denny said: “Hamzah is a great fighter, and I know I will need to train hard for him, but I didn’t take any punishment at all against Cash, so I am feeling fresh and ready to get back to it.”
Denny trains at the BCB Promotions gym in Wednesbury under coaching duo and owners, Errol Johnson and Paul Mann. The pair are already devising the latest game plan and didn’t hesitate to take on this challenge.
“All the years of graft and learning have got us all here,” said Mann. “Tyler is a dedicated boxer who trains and lives the life and he is fully deserving of this opportunity. Saturday night was brilliant for us as a team and the momentum just keeps building. The gym is buzzing with so many talented boxers. We are seeing the results of a lifetime’s worth of work come to fruition.”
