TALL southpaw Ryan Woolridge steps up to eight rounds for the first time on BCB’s “Unleashed” show at Bescot Stadium – home of his beloved Walsall football team – on Saturday, November 16.
Now unbeaten in 10, the 23-year-old is closing in on a Midlands title fight. Bloxwich’s Ryan, trained by Pete Hickenbottom, overcame durable Serge Ambomo last time out. Former Wyrley pro Pete has done a good job with Woolridge who is now campaigning at middle: Ryan’s come from nowhere to establish himself as one to watch.
On the November show, “Wolverhampton Bomber” Sonny Clarke (2-0) will be looking to make it a hat-trick of wins in the sport’s blue ribbon heavyweight division.
It's a welcome return to the ring for Stafford's Ashley Pettigrew (3-1) as he is set to get his career back on track after a surprise loss to Nikola Stoyanov last September.
Exeter's Kristine Shergold (7-7) will make the journey up from the southwest in her first fight since losing on points to world champion Rhiannon Dixon.
Jay Jay Tonks (1-0) boxes for the first time this year, amateur sensation Mia Holland, from Wolverhampton, will make her professional debut and after two knockout performances in Germany, Walsall's Jordan Hammonds (2-0) makes his UK debut.
*Tickets are available now priced at £45 general admission and £80 VIP Ringside from the boxers directly or by emailing info@bcb-promotions.com.
